Dude Sometimes Plastic With Magnets Can Make Sounds!
I started cassette making after finding a pack of blank maxwell cassettes at a vinyl store and after buying it was able to dig up a cassette deck from my basement as start recording. after i put my personal playlist on there it evolved into albums. OSTs. friends playlists. i would start mailing them to friends. and it really changed how i look at music, especially in the terms of preservation. i had albums of cassettes that were pratically unkown on the internet.
But Queen, How Do Cassettes Work?
Inside the noble device is a thin strip of plastic covered head to toe in a magnetizable coating. this coating is what we record the music on. The tape, weither in a reel to reel format, or in an 8 track, the device needs a magnetizing source to ave music played or recorded. the cassette head is a small bit of metal that is able to convert electrical signals to magnetic fluctuations, and reverse. when the electrical signals are converted, they are put on the magnetized tape. and when played back, the magnetic signals are translated back into electrical signals, allowing them to be played as music through a speaker.
